Has anyone tried this program called Hold'em Spy? It's making some
strange recommendations to me.
For instance, it told me to fold when I started with a Jack and 3, but
it told me to keep going when I started with a 2 and 3. Any ideas why?
Anyone know of any similar programs that might be a little better?

Why would you want to play J3 anyway? Was it sooooted? Not trying to be a smart
ass but J3, even suited, is a poor hand. Hit your jack and your kicker blows,
hit your 3 and likely any other pair will beat it. I would have to agree with
your Spy program in that 23 is a better hand as it can connect to a straight as
well.
If you are talking about these hands going head to head, they the J3 dominates
the 23.

They were both unsuited.
Here's what Poker stove says about 2 and 3:
equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 32.3032 % 29.24% 03.06% { 3c2s }
Hand 2: 67.6968 % 64.63% 03.06% { random }
Here's what it says about Jack and 3:
equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 45.2755 % 42.97% 02.31% { Jc3s }
Hand 2: 54.7245 % 52.42% 02.31% { random }
My simulation gives me similar values. So, if these numbers are
correct, isn't jack and 3 clearly a better hand from the get-go?
