Hi Sheila,
Starting August 15 - Sept 1, there will also be poker right in town at
the national exhibition ( www.theex.com ). You will have to pay
admission and parking the first time you go, but can get VIP card
after that (pays for subsequent admissions and parking). The games
can get very juicy, but the rake is very large (can't remember
exactly, but it's either $7.50 or $10 max per pot at the 10-20).
Believe it or not many of the games are still very beatable. Many of
the players from the other locations mentioned (Rama and Blue Heron)
gravitate to this Ex during this period, waiting for the
tourists/novices to play. Number of tables - maybe 20-25 with 5-10 or
10-20 hold'em.
Thanks,
STeve
