I swear I found it in the online Cardplayer under "Articles"

So much for CardPlayer giving fair and unbias coverage. If I were an online
poker site, other than PartyPoker, I would take my advertising dollars
elsewhere...

i know you have to be kidding, right?
calling that piece an "article" was equivalent to calling any of Ferdinand
Marcos' (or Stalin's) forced votes a "free and fair election".
i dont think anyone expects CardPlayer magazine to report accurately what
happens in the poker world, but to call that an "article" is really low.

i dont understand why they didnt just call the piece an advertisement?
is anyone who reads the magazine so stupid as to think it wasnt advertising,
just because it was in the section titled "articles"?

I have to wonder if "Sam Taylor" if the name of a real poker writer, or is
instead a pseudonym used when press releases just get rewritten.

(A Gogle search couldn't find any other Sam Taylor poker related material.)

Or maybe it's like those phony names that get put on those phony film reviews
that appear in ads.

Given it's placement in the magazine, I gotta wonder if the "stroy" was in fact
a paid placement.

The article was written because Jeff Schulman struck a deal with Party
Poker, wherein they would forgive his $100 loss playing $.50/$1 Hold'em if
he wrote a positive article for them.

Nothing wrong; just a blatant advertisement for Party Poker. Nothing at
all to become upset over, get a life.;)

I think the writer forgot the part about the shitful software and support
that doesn't know its ass from a hole in the ground. Probably just an
isolated incident.

Hey, I thought those were my lines. Did you get a copyright, patent, donut
hole to use those lines ?

Oink.

I like their support...what's wrong with it?

We could start with the support who believed that all-in abuse was OK. When
I suspect cheating at PokerStars, I receive a detailed response from the
person investigating, which convinces me that they take their job seriously.
I've yet to receive similar followup from Party. Then there was the little
button for live support, which never showed up.

I'm playing there right now, because the game is good. As Stars is growing,
I find myself playing there less and less.
