Hi all,
Last night I tried to sit down at a table where a friend was playing (he's
on my buddy list) but was given the message "Security Warning: You cannot
occupy more than one seat at this table" or something to that effect. I
wasn't sitting at the table already, so I tried a couple more times and
got the same message. So we went to another table and tried the same
thing, but the same error message occurred. Then I sat at a table and he
tried to join and was shown the same message.
What's the deal here? I have never played with this player before, and
have never colluded... is this some kind of bug, or have our accounts been
"flagged" for some reason? Anyone else run into this problem?

Your friend must have set up his account while at your house, on your computer.
Just call Party and explain it.

I got the same message when I tried to sit at the same table as my son,
although he has a different address, different computer, etc.
I transferred some of my winnings to him when he opened his account and I
assume that was the reason that their security warning went off. At any rate,
I'm glad that their system did catch something like this even though we
certainly meant no harm.

i had a similar problem when my roommate tried to play in the same "play"
money room as me. it was when i first came online and was checking it out.
for me, it recognized we had the same IP address, and kept us from sitting
down at the same table, although i could be in there to watch.
don't know if your buddy was on your network or not, if so, maybe try (and i
don't know how to do this, but have heard people talk about it) using an
alternate IP address...

Hi
It's because you have R-E-F him to Party. Write to support and support
will remove the warming.
Best regards,

I played several times with a friend of mine that I had referred then
one time he was playing a tournament and his computer went down so he
called me and asked me if he could use my computer to finish the
tourney (we live 1 block apart). I told him sure and he came over and
finished the tourney. A few days later I saw him sitting in a 1 table
tourney and tried to sit down and the software wouldn't let me ( it
said I was already sitting at the tbale). I called support and they
explained it was because his account had logged in from my computer. I
explained, they then called him and he explained and now we can sit at
the same table again. I was pleasantly surprised and very happy that
they had caught that. All is well now and whenever we want we play at
the same table we can. I am sure they have watched us for any type of
collusion since and I welcome that because if there is anyone I enjoy
taking money from more than him (bragging rights) I can't think of who
it would be. By the way, I should have titled this post "My 1 and only
good experience with Party Poker support" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

glad you had a good experience... I've had the same problem and all
you have to do is just either email or ask a floorperson... it will be
resolved instantly.
My experiences with party poker's support is top rated... they are
always respondsive and only during busy times like 2 month ago did
they take at most 2 days to reply...
Anyhow. I found a new a new code with 20% deposit bonus for new

This happens too if you transfer funds to your friends. THey are blocked from
your games after that becasue your accounts are now "associated". Good rule,
bad principle. I've played live games with 5 people on the same money, and I
knew noone was cheating. Too bad the online sites cant figure this out as
well.
