I don't understand why this crap keeps getting posted here. I know
it's an open forum, and I completely support that. But if you want to
create a big screaming argument with a bunch of angry, unhappy people
(like yourself), why don't you take this to alt.politics?

The problem with talking about this kind of thing here is that it will
elicit responses from people who make genuine poker contributions to
this forum; people who read their responses will feel bias toward them
in the future (positive or negative). This can either improve or hurt
the poster's credibility, depending on the individual's own leanings.
Either way, it can pinch value away from the whole thing.

Cheers,

Phil

I can agree with you here, but ---

There are a bunch of politics newsgroups, but most everybody
cross-posts into all of the other politics groups.

It takes me longer just to download the damn headers in one of those
groups, than it takes for the whole message download here.

Also, the threads there go on and on and on and on.
At least here they die of natural causes after not too long.

People are also afraid to trim messages lest somebody accuses them of
trimming out the most revelant part of the argument.

It would be very nice to see people put OT in the topic so people can
filter them out, but it don't take a yoon to figure the odds on that
ever happening.

Myself, I'm still looking for a way to filter out the "New NL tourney
starting at pokerschlock.com" threads.

I stumbled upon a foolproof way to deal with this kind of thing. If I
get on a thread I don't like I just quit reading it.

Ah another psuedo republican comes out of the woodwork. There sure are
lots of you guys lately. You probably love the giant government that
Bush has produced, because you new age republicans seem to be all for
it.

I'd be able to laugh a lot more if
A) I didn't live in California.
B) Arnold was actually a republican.

As if my poor state wasn't screwed up enough, now I can get a guy who
has Rob Lowe as part of his cabinet. I guess it could be worse, Gary
Coleman could win.... ok, that I could probably laugh at. ;)
