Hey guys,
I will be in vegas on sunday night, and am thinking about playing in
the nl tourney at sahara. Has anyone played it? whats the compitition
like? any other comments about it?
also, where do the pros play on sunday nights? i don't make it out to
vegas much, so i would like to see some nice action..
thanks!

Played in it. My impression is as follows. At least 5 players that play have
their dollars pooled in the event every week. The soft playing of each other
and obnoxious raising of tourists only to have one of them always fold on
the river leads me to this conclusion. The Orleans would be a much better
choice for you. I believe they have a 60 or 100 buy in on Sunday nights. It
will also have 4 times the players a larger prize pool and a much better run
event. Stay away fro Sahara event and stop into the Orleans.

I have played in it a few times, Last Time I made it down to the last three
players. The other two were Locals who were Blatently Soft Playing each
other. On one hand, One of them Turned a Straight and the other Rivered a
Full House and they Checked it all way after I folded on the Flop. The Floor
was sitting at the table and saw this and never said a word to them about
it. A few hands Later I took a Big Pot off one of them and they offered a 3
way Chop, I took it as I do not like playing against a Team.

The Belligio and Mirage have the most action. The Horseshoe is fun if you
don't mind the Smoke.

The orleans is a limit tourney, right?
wanted to play in NL, but playing against a regular 'team' is annoying
and lame.
maybe i'll just drop by the bellagio or mirrage as suggested by
thanatos
Thanks for the reply guys!

Orleans on Sunday I believe is NL. Check out cardplayer for sure but I think
it is...
Hold on I will look. Looks to be Limit on Sunday night. Sam's town runs a NL
on Sunday evening that would be right up your alley. $40 buy in $20 re buy
and $20 add on. 7pm Sunday evening. Orleans NL is Friday evening $60 and $40
rebuy. Mirage runs a NL $120 event at 5pm on Sunday evenings...tougher field
here though.

Good to go....Any event at the Orleans is excellent. Well run and on time.
Always a good crowd. Decent payout.

Wear a gas mask if you go.........one of the few tournaments that still
allow smoking. I'll never go again.
If you want to play with some pros, go to the Mirage 5pm tournament. It's
NL and has rebuys for the first hour.
