The story is true. I know 3 names of the cheaters and 1 name of the
cheated. Of the 3 cheaters, One is a Asian HIGH limit player known
for his aggressivenes and never mentioned by Russ G. (I would fear for
my life), the other is a High Limit heads up player mentioned by Russ
G. alot, and the 3rd was a BlackJack supervisor who I've never seen
since.

Of the cheated ... very respectable and very good PL NL player and his
father, never mentioned by Russ G.

I wonder if they ever settled the lawsuit. The story goes, They
brought down and hired Stanford Wong to figure out what was happening.
Took him 3 seconds to figure it out --- No skirt on the shoe means
marked cards. Next day they had a car waiting at the front door,
hired some locals to create a diversion, and in the middle of it, made
off with 3 shoes of marked cards.

If the link works, this is from a google search:

Just read in the newspaper today that 3 unnamed individuals
have filed suite and are settling a cheating lawsuite against
Sycuan Indian reservation.

The modus operandi was in the "player banks black jack", marked
cards where used. Thus enabling the professional cheat to
see what card was going to come out of the shoe.

The three individuals who filed suite had a banking sydicate going
Thats where they banked most of the BJ games at Sycuan. The reason
being is that house banking games are illegal in California. The
house just charges a small fee per hand from the banker and the
players.

Implicated where a couple of dealers and some players. No
management personal were involved.

This has been going on since early 1993 upto 3 weeks ago.
*************

A personal note: Its been quite common knowledge amoung a group
of people (including me) for some time That cheating has been
going on at Sycuan. Though I doubt the higher paid mangement
knew, I'm sure that mid level and low level management knew.

AFter all, how does a dealer get a hold of 5 decks of cards and
professionaly mark them? And keep them in the game? Maybe
they will clean up the black jack area And next, the Pai Gow
and then finaly the high stakes poker. Only after hearing
that should one go back to Sycuan.

last time I talked to G. P. and J. S. they recovered nothing.
Not sure about the Asian you mention I think you may be confused by who it
was or just what side he was on. or maybe I know one that was on the
same side as GP and JS and I am confused.
But anyway I said they had got nothing back last time we talked
