Diane, you might be thinking about the WPO while I think
Holdempoker12 was asking about weekly and monthly tourneys.
At the Gold Strike we are going strong with our weekly
(Sunday thru Wednesday) tournaments. Limit on Sunday and
Monday and No Limit on Tuesday. Wednesday is a tournament
I bet you haven't played, half No Limit Holdem and half
No Limit Omaha 8/B. Winners of these tourns qualify for
a freeroll December 20 and 21. One lucky player will come
away with a $10,000 seat in the WPO's Championship Event,
four nights stay in our hotel during that event and $300.
Another $5000 worth of seats will be given away to the 2nd
thru 14th place finishers.

The World Poker Open will go as planned. As good as it was
last year, this year will be even better. All the necessary
financial matters that Harrah's has to complete won't be
done until well after January. What Harrah's does after
that is only speculation on our part. However I sincerely
doubt they would do something as stupid as killing a major
cash cow that is the WPO. What they do with the Horseshoe
poker room, I haven't a clue. Nobody in poker likes to see
a thriving poker room go down. I certainly don't.

That's it from update central.

Hi Gary,

No, I knew he meant the daily/weekly events in his question.

But you also read my mind in terms of what the future had in store for
the WPO, which you know is one of my favorities.

I did ask you also (buried in another thread, forget which one) how
things were going with your red chip games? If you did respond and I
missed it sorry for bugging you.

Regards,
Diane

the no limit game on Friday was NOT a $50 max buy in although I think one or two
players bought in for $50
