Mid 90's I was playing a $10 $20 Kill game and it was a kill pot. I
wasn't really involved in the hand, but I was bet and capped multi-way
action. There was an elder gentleman with a stetson and pair of
overhalls with pocket K's stitched into his breast. He sitting to my
left and he was in late position, perhaps the button. I'm watching
the action which is originating between the blind and UTG, when the
flop comes 9h Qh Kh. No sooner had the flop come down then the
Gentleman falls into my lap.

He recovered quick enough, but was weak and shaky, he turns to me and
says', "Hold me up there young fella until I get through this hand".
One of the players was concerned and went and got the floor man.

So there I was, Holding up this gentleman by the armpits while he had
one hand on his cards and a fist full of chips. There was betting and
raising come from all quarters of the table and he's talking to me.
"Whatever you do don't let me go". Well, the board pairs on the turn
and there is betting and raising going on and this Cowboy is cutting
his chips in that pot like a pro. People started gathering around to
see the comotion. The board pairs again on the river, and the pot
chips are still flying. The Cowboy is putting in those chips and
raising and re-raising.

When all was said and done, the Cowboy had JhTh and had flopped a
straight flush, beating Kings full and quad 9's. The pushed him the
pot and helped him away from the table. The floor man racked his
chips up. Good sized pot.

That was the first time I met Cowboy Byron Wolford, and that sure was
a fun hand to watch. It turned out to be nothing, Cowboy I think was
diabetic and just hand't eaten enough or something. He was back
playing the next day.

I hear tell that Cowboy left us for a better game a few months back.
It sure was a pleasure knowing him.
