Yes I am stating that marked cards have been in Oceans 11 pot limit game.
Some of the same people play, work, and operate there. The only thing that
changes is [who] gets the better technology. Oceanside was crooked, Jerrys
was crooked. Doyle and Chip had Oceanside, and it was crooked. That is a
pretty good track record for Oceanside. They have had allegations made
against them. They have also swept these under the rug. It is along story
about Oceans11. The story always comes down to the same thing, which cheat
or group of cheaters can get the marked cards in the game. Russ G GCA

Dear Mr. Russ
Now you are REALLY showing your ignorance!!! First off, you claim
there was cheating at Jerries place??? well!!! they never had a game
bigger than 3/6 and who in his right mind would waste his time
cheating in a game like that??
I should have said(in my ealier post) that you have never PLAYED
there, not that you were never there. It is true that I would probably
not know you, and it is true that somebody who does know you, saw you
there waiting to talk to Haig.
I know all the floor people pretty well, and I doubt that anyone
one of them would take the chance of putting marked cards in the game.
If caught they would be prosecuted.
You still have not answered my questions about who the cheat(s)
are and who is thier accomplice?
Someone earlier compared you to Doug Grant. I once tried to argue
with him, and soon saw that it was a waste of time. The same is true
of you, so I am done with it.
It is too bad that you had to start bullshit like that, because I
was beginning to believe some of the stuff you had posted. Now I know
that you are a rejected and bitter man, trying to get even for
imagined slights of the past!
Could some imagined rejection have caused you to take REVENGE ON
THE OWNERS AND MANGEMENT OF THIS CLUB??? Why don,t you just admit that
you do not have a clue about what is or is not happenning at OCEANS

Chuck,
I used to play at Jerry's place too. I lived in Oceanside prior becoming
involved with Card Player and I played at Jerry's Place and OCC at least four
times a week. The games were great, as were the people. The action is now at
Oceans 11.
I am fortunate to be able to play there a few times a year. Chuck, I hate that
people like you and I have to defend this wonderful cardroom against such
unfounded claims. The players and the management at Oceans 11 are great people.
I recently read a story in their newsletter about an employee who found a $100
chip or a $100 bill (sorry, can't remember which) and turned it in. It makes me
sick that the GCA labels the cardroom as crooked. It just isn't so.

Hi Linda,
I agree with you that everything I've seen at Oceans 11 is completely above
board. Did you ever play in the bigger games at the OCC? I have a friend
who was a dealer there back when, and he told me about some serious stuff
that was going on. I recently have had this confirmed by another former
employee of the OCC. I'm not saying that you or anyone else that I respect
knew about or participated in anything that was alledgedly going on there,
but I would like to get your thoughts on anything you may have suspected.

I played at OCC when I lived in Oceanside in 1992-1993. I don't really remember
playing higher than $10-$20. I preferred the Omaha/8 game which was low-limit.
I didn't suspect anything was going on, but I did not play in any big games
there.
