withdrawing monies from account

Hi all:
Need to get some feedback from folks who regularly cashout from there poker
sites.
I recently requested a small cashout from a site (less than $100) and now
find that I can not cash this out unless I either scan my drivers license or
fax them a copy of it. I asked the site to cash out to my neteller account
where I originally purchased from and I still have to send them this
personal information in order to do any kind of a cashout. I was told that
if I did not due this they had the right to take all winning monies in the
account. Has anybody else ever run into this. I play at least 4 other sites
besides this one and have not had any problem with cashing out. I cant
afford to spend $100 for a scanner to get a $100 out of an account. Where
can I go for help with this as I got no where with customer service.

I dont trust the sites that ask for DL. However I do know that most credit
cards can only be refunded in the ammount of purchase. If the cashout is
more than this ammount then they will send you a check instead and will have
to verify age. (in other words they dont have to verify age when breaking
even or cashing out with less than deposited, only when sending winnings.)

When you go to cash out see if there are other options such as netteller.

The reason I dont trust sites that ask for DL is that they aren't recieving
a real DL. They are looking at a computer image or fax. Why would they
need a fake reproduction of a drivers licence to verify age? The credit
card you deposited with should be enough.

You don't need a scanner. Make a xerocopy of your document, try to make it
light enough adjusting its options, then go to your local post office and
send it by fax to number they gave you. This is not completely unusual for
money-related business to ask to prove your identity but it's strange that
they need it for Neteller account user.

Well, some banks (US Bank, for example) also ask for a copy of your
driver's license when you try to open a checking account. You can fax
this in as well, so your argument of not receiving a real license should
not really be valid.

While I also hate this practice, it's the only way you are going to get
your money back. These sites can hold your money indefinitely if they
want to, so you basically are forced to follow their rules. You won't get
any legal help in this country.
