At greatpokerplayers.com they list 10 female players as being great. Two that
come to my mind are Kathy Liebert & Annie Duke. I've never played against
Annie, but I watched her very closely in a tournament. She has an incredible
table awareness. She always watching the other players, her eyes constantly
moving.
I think she devotes more time to reading than to strategy.

Kathy, on the other hand, is very very hard to read. I HAVE played with Kathy
and she spends much effort in devising new and creative strategies, but less
effort in studying the players.

Both are great players. How I can learn to incorporate both strategies? Which
ones should I focus on? And in what situations?

Sincerely,
MMM

It's true, they are both very good, and with very different styles. They
also list Betty Carey, but there is no discription of her, only a photo.
She was said to be fantastic at no -limit.
Best,
Joe

There are no female poker players that will ever be anywhere close to
their male counterparts. Women just don't have the mental toughness.
What are they doing playing poker anyway? Can't they get a man?

So to follow your supposed logic..........men who play poker can't get a WOMAN?

Diane:
In most cases I think you are correct :)
In fact I think some could not get a woman in a Bangkok whore house with a
hundred dollar bill :)

Kathy is at the final table of the 4 Queens 5K event today, Sunday, she
has a lot of chips. Daniel is also there and in good shape. 97
players, first place is over $180,000.
