why dont you move to france with babs and the baldwin boys after bush
wins again.
the funny thing about the limbaugh comments is that his observation
about mcnabb being overrated was CORRECT. you can debate the media
investing hope in a black qb thing, but the guy is just an above average
qb. espn is the main culprit in spending way too much time on mcnabb.
they have spent almost 2 entire offseasons talking about how great he is
and how hard he works out...please, every qb is working out like crazy
to get better. jeff garcia is a very similar style qb with much better
numbers and he gets like half of the pub. i think it is more an east
coast bias thing since the other qbs in new england are boring and suck.
what would have happened if garcia and mcnabb had traded places? who
would have gotten more pub? i bet garcia, since there is always a media
orgy for any player in any sport in new england.

You don't know diddly. If McNabb had TO to throw to the Eagles would have
been to the last 2 Super Bowls.
How is he overrated? Ask the defensive coordinators around the league if
he's overrated. You and Rush deserve each other.

Observation:
"...just an above average qb" means he's damn good, because over half the
teams in the league would love to have him, by that definition.
Is he as good as an Elway or a Marino? We'll answer that in 10 years.

When did Philadelphia become part of New England?

you are an idiot.
3 QBs totals since 1999 - and who is made out too seem like a god? the
worst of the three. These numbers are totals with running and throwing
combined.
QB RTG TDs/gm Yds/gm int/gm comp%
McNabb 77.5 1.5 226 .72 56.4
Garcia 88.3 1.75 227 .55 61.7
Daunte 86.3 2.00 238 1.11 62.2
He does not lead those guys in ONE category. He actually lags behind
quite a bit in Rating, Tds and completion %. Sure he is a good qb, but
he gets way too much pub. I never said it was wishfull thinking on the
medias part, I said it was east coast bias you numbscull. If Mcnabb was
stuck in Arizona and Garcia or Daunte were in Philly who would be
getting all the publicity now? Who would get ESPN to come watch them
work out in a field for hours on end? Who would get Andrea Kramer to
drool over them in endless interviews? The guy in Philly, white or
black.
Sorry dude, but nice try with the backhanded racist comment. Typical
liberal whining - the boy who cried racist....

You have solid support... Tim Trushel who makes his living betting and
hosting a tout type radio show believes he's in the top two in the NFL (with
Mike Vick).
Although I don't play in the fantasy NFL leagues, I pride myself on being
able to rate the skill position players for investment reasons. I have
always believed McNabb was a fantastic college player and now a good pro
player who has the capability of making a big play when needed, but I have
struggled with the idea that he's a great player compared to the other NFL
QBs. I struggle with where to rank him, but if someone put a gun to my head
I'd say #5.
He has had success (winning a MVP award as I recall). He has had neither a
great running back nor very good receivers. His escapability and running
factors aren't included in QB ratings.
On the flip side, a Philly writer who covers all the games said Rush was
right -- he is overrated. Poppa Joe Chevalier feels the same way.
I think if he played on SF, he would exceed Garcia's numbers, but I wouldn't
bet on that opinion... Garcia is good. What I would bet on is he would lead
the league in QB rating if he played on Denver or Minnesota. Hell, I could
run for 800 yards behind that Bronco OL:-).

I'm impressed with the guy's heart. He plays hurt, including once with a
borken leg. When he runs, he runs like a full back. not picking up a few
yards and diving like some of the tutu wearing QBs. You're right Lee, in
that if he had an offensive line and a receiver or two with hands, he'd be a
Hall of Famer already. It sort of reminds me of Doug Williams, and how
shitty Tampa Bay once was. When he joined the Skins, with the Hogs front
line, he was friggin awesome.

McNabb is the QB in my fantasy league team. I'm in last place in my league.
We have one team in the league that's been abandonded. He's beating me and
McNabb.

Well, yeah... he's been awful this year (QB ranking of around 50 after three
games if memory serves). But going back and rating his last 40 or so games
you'll find him at a solid mid 80s (playing hurt a lot).
He's better than Trent Green imo but Green has a better ensemble and can put
up big QB #s. I'd take Green before McNabb in fantasy (especially if INTs
are not held against a QB in fantasy leagues).
