WHat do you guys think of Wilson's new 4.0 tournament edition? I haven't had
alot of time with it.

I need work on my NL/tournament play. In NL ring games I don't lose money
but I don;t win much either. Pretty much a break even NL player. In
tournaments I have made the top 15-30 with up to 1000 players a few times,
but never the final table. I make the final table in tournaments with less
than 60 (not including sit and gos) about 30-40% of the time but I have only
won 1 and made 2nd twice. Usually I am knocked out in the 6-9 position (no
money postions with so few players - they usually pay 1st-5th).

"The software is pretty good and will help improve your game somewhat.
The problem with it is the other players are not very realistic
often. Example: Player 3 calls the BB, player 5 calls also, player 7
moves all-in, you have AA so you call, Player 3 and 5 will also call
at this point with almost any hand. Usually your aces will go down
like this. I guess if you play at Party, this may mirror the real
world, but not where I play. It does allow you to play a full
tournament in a short period of time, so you can see a lot of hands
quickly.

I bought it a few moths after I bought TTH v5. To be totally honest, I
was a little disappointed. The competition doesn't seem that tough,
and that is not a brag, because I admittedly am not that great a
player. There is no way to adjust profiles and there is no "Advice" or
analytical tools of any kind, as in TTH v5.

There is a command you can add to the command line (in the short cut
properties) to get the "Look" feature, which I find helpful, but
wonder why this isn't an option to begin with? Why the need for
tweaking your command line to get it?

Oh well, that is just one person's opinion. Others may (and probably
will) disagree. But you asked what we think, so there is my $.02.

Cheers!

Yeah, I agree. (Disappointed)
I learned a lot from TTH v5 and expected the same from the tournament
version.
It's just not nearly as complete a product.
