In all my years of visiting Vegas, I never got around to seeing S&R although
I did visit the touristy bits in the Mirage last year (anyone for Dolphin
pics?).
What's the word in vegas? Is he doing okay? I'm guessing this is the end of
the road for the show?

The show is closed forever. All of the performers and employees of the show
have been told to look for other work.
Even if Roy recovers, I don't think the Mirage wants to take the chance that
a tiger might really freak out and attack an audience member.
Last I heard, the Secret Garden will remain open, so you can still see the
animals.
Roy's condition from today's (14 Oct.) news:
> "Horn remained in critical condition Monday. University Medical Hospital
> officials said Horn, 59, was improving after two surgeries, massive blood
> loss and a stroke he suffered after the attack."

I live in Vegas and any news is on the national news as it gets to me. They
haven't said anything in a few days. I think it is worse than they would
like us to believe. A lot of things that would have been said or done if he
was OK have not been said or done. That is just my opinion. I saw S&R in
1986. They were spectacular, but I did not go right out and see them again
after I moved here. I hope he recovers enough to get back on stage.

I was lucky enough to see them the first year they were at the Mirage. They
put on a spectacular show. It was well worth the $75. Like many others, I
wish them both well and hope they'll be able to return soon.

I saw the S&R show a few months ago - very good performance. I was in one
of the "inside" front row seats right on the walk way where they do their
act. I wasn't afraid of the tigers but got a little nervous when they
walked that elephant right along the walk way. All I could think was, if
this thing falls off the walk way, or has to take a dump, we're all dead.

Critical, but stable, last I heard.

The show has officially ended.
