Thanks for all the advice. Bankroll, I understand that I didn't have the
Bankroll to handle a losing session like last night. However, I dropped
to the lowest level available, 5-10, at my poker room. I was playing
10-20 and had that Bankroll, but due to family emergencies, had to use the
bankroll for bills. Now I got my BR up to a single/two 5-10 sessions.
Well, I hit the right table at the wrong time and lost it. Now I'm back
to saving and waiting, might not be able to play again all year, which
sucks when I was a 3 times a week player. I'm happy to hear that I know
my stragedy should be to play more drawing hands and that my unfortunate
luck to get screwed runner-runner is not uncommon. I know the short run
and am just frustrated. Being a long time blackjack player, I'm used to
this. Just pissed I lost it all in one night at this table. Oh well,
thanks!

Your financial problems could be affecting your play. Were you hoping
against hope to walk home with $500 of winnings in your pocket to make the
fam see you as a hero?

I find these outside influences will magnify everything, particularly my
losses and bad plays.

Just my .02.

I'm sure on some level, you're right. I was just happy to play, as even
with all the focusing and concentration, I find it strangely relaxing and
gets me away from the problems. That's how I reasoned out going. Plus
we're back on our feet and I had a little fun money come in. Now it's
going to have to wait with the holidays, etc. Oh well, I've still got a
few ideas to get a bankroll going. Again, just frustrated that this had
to happen now. 6 weeks ago, it would have been no big deal, but now I'm
building back up and was hoping for a good start. This would have been
all poker money afterwards too, not to surprise the family. Oh well.
