Not sure I like the sound of a double add-on. Seems like it would make the
first 3 levels nothing more than a crap shoot (particularly with rebuys). I
can understand one tournament a week having this feature, but All of them?
I assume the correct strategy in this type of game would be to fold 2-7 OS
when UTG, and play just about everything else, at least until the
rebuy/add-on period expires. Am I off base here?

Dave,
I have no idea. I am just posting the information. However, I can say that
all of the other "local" daily tournaments in AC have never offered this
type of tournament structure, where the players actually get "play" for
their money. These tournaments were designed to provide something
different from anyone else here in New Jersey.
Most tournaments here I beleive start with $5-10 Blinds at $10-20 Limit,
and then the limits double all the way through. The Blinds at the Borgata
will start at a higher level (i.e., $25-$25 Blinds and the limit is
$25-50), because the only tournament that will be using $5 chips is the 7
Stud tournament. So, already we have eliminated any color up time and
unnecessary breaks. Also, most of the tournaments only offer $500 in
starting chips with 15 minute rounds. There are also additional levels in
between (1/2 levels if you will. If you are interested in seeing the
Strucure sheets I can E-mail them to you. Just send me an E-mail at
Omaha8orbetter@aol.com or post a reply if interested.
In my opinion, it will make for an interesting strategical decision for
those of us who are actually thinking about how much money to spend.
Thanks for your input.

all of those rebuys make the whole thing suck.
nice idea,however..............without all of that rebuy crap.
I think that the initial idea of the re-buys was to give the players in
these daily tournaments a structure they've never had. It will drive the
prize pool a bit higher, but it'll also to give the players more of a
chance to gamble in early rounds if they choose to do so.
The Borgata is trying to do something that no one else in AC does. We'll
see how it works out, and if it needs to be adjusted at some point, I'm
sure that it'll be taken care of.
I play poker almost every day at the Borgata. The one thing that I can say
for sure is that their MAIN OBJECTIVE is to make the majority happy. I am
quite sure that they will do everything they can to accomplish this goal.
Thank you for your input.
